Needham Man Steals From Radio Shack, Turns Himself In

Newton police followed the man, who took off on a bike.

A Needham man is facing larceny charges after he stole some headphones from Radio Shack, took off on a bike, and turned himself in the next day.

On June 13, police responded to Radio Shack for a report of shoplifting. A white man in his early 30s had stolen headphones and left on a bicycle toward Tower Road.

The officer found him on Chestnut Street and when he attempted to confront him, the man took off. Police followed him into Needham down Eliot Street. Police went back to Radio Shack to find out how many items were taken. Four Skullcandy earbuds were taken. On Saturday, the man came into the police station to turn himself in. The 31-year-old from Needham will be charged with larceny under $250.
