Man Reports Two Rugs Were Stolen, in 2011

The following are excerpts from the Needham police log. An arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, June 26 

  • At 8:40 a.m., officers stopped a car for an inspection sticker violation on Webster Street. The 51-year-old Needham man will be summonsed for unlicensed operation and inspection sticker violation. 
  • At 3:10 p.m., police responded to a Warren Street residence for a report of annoying phone calls. The resident was aware that the calls were a scam, but was annoyed by them and wanted a report on file. 
Friday, June 27 

  • At 10:10 a.m., police took a report from a resident of Boston who said that a former employee stole two rugs from his home when he lived in Needham. This occurred in 2011. 
  • At 5:10 p.m., police responded to a crash on Intervale Road by Norwich. A vehicle had struck a fire hydrant, knocking it from its base.
