Fraud in Needham Police Log: Dec. 9 - 11

Monday, Dec. 9

1:20 p.m.: A West Street resident came into headquarters to report fraudulent activity on her debit card. Her card was used in the Atlanta, Ga. area.

3:44 p.m.: A Henderson Street resident reported that a check that she mailed her daughter in November was cashed by someone other than her daughter. The victim is in the process of working with her bank to replace the funds.


Wednesday, Dec. 11

10:37 p.m.: Police responded to a single vehicle crash into a pole and a mailbox in the area of South at Canterbury Lane. The operator stated that she had fallen asleep while she was driving, which caused her to veer off the roadway.
