Does Needham Have a Parking Ban?

You asked, Patch answers.

According to Police Lieutenant Chris Baker, there is no specific snow parking ban in Needham.  However, there are parking regulations year round.

There is no all night parking. Unless there is an emergency, no vehicles are allowed to be parked on the street for longer than one hour between 1 and 6 a.m. The Chief of Police or his/her designee may temporarily waive this regulation if a demonstrated hardship condition exists.

Parking permits are available to those who cannot park off-street. Reasons may include, but are not limited to, lack of driveway, extraordinary topography that makes the use of the driveway dangerous, and/or lack of adequate off-street parking to accommodate a reasonable number of vehicles. The Board of Selectmen establishes a fee for permits for annual waivers of the overnight parking ban annually.
