Contractor Under Fraud Investigation in Needham Police Log: Nov. 12 - 13

Tuesday, Nov. 12

2:21 p.m.: Police were dispatched to Cricket Field parking lot for a report of two males smoking marijuana inside a car. Upon arrival, the two males were preparing the marijuana to smoke. The officer seized the marijuana from the individuals and issued them each a citation for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

4:40 p.m.: Police responded to a two-car crash on Kendrick Street. One driver was transported by ambulance to Beth Israel Deaconess with non-life threatening injuries. The other driver was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Wednesday, Nov. 13

10:49 a.m.: A Grove Street resident reported being a victim of fraud. The resident entered into an agreement with a contractor and paid some money towards work being done, but to this date no work has been done and the contractor has put off the project for months. This matter is under investigation.

4:39 p.m.: As the result of a routine traffic stop in the area of Great Plain Avenue and Chapel Street, a 30-year-old Clyde Street resident will be summonsed to court for operation of a motor vehicle with a revoked license.
