Election Letter: Greis Has Shown Dedication to Needham

This letter was submitted by a Needham resident.

I am very excited to vote for Michael Greis for selectman in the April 10 election. As someone who has worked closely with Michael on many community projects, I can attest to his dedication to Needham, his integrity, and—as anyone who has worked with Michael will tell you—his boundless energy.

The list of municipal and community organizations Michael has founded, chaired and/or participated in is too long to mention in this letter.  His 17 years as a Town Meeting member, nine years on the town Technology Advisory Board and six years as School Committee member are just a few examples of the innumerable ways he has used his energy and talents to benefit all who live and work in Needham.

Always ahead of the curve, and a passionate financial planner, Michael co-founded the Green Needham Collaborative as a way to bring municipal government, the School Department, , local community groups, religious organizations, and individuals, together in a collaborative effort to promote long-term environmental and financial sustainability in Needham. In his capacity as GNC Chair, Michael has successfully advocated for cost saving measures that we have all profited from.
