Election Letter: Borrelli Gives Back to Needham

This letter was submitted by a Needham resident

I have been reading recent letters about both candidates for Needham
selectman and I am writing to highlight some of the many reasons why I am
supporting Matt Borrelli for selectman.

We are all familiar with Matt's volunteer service on the Finance Committee, Needham Council of Economic Advisers and Senior Center Exploratory Committee. What many people are probably not aware of, however, are all of the quiet ways that Matt gives back to Needham. When asked, Matt delivers; whether it is bringing community dinners to Needham's elderly for Thanksgiving, opening up his home for the Needham Women's Club's Annual Holiday House Tour, delivering Tercentennial Programs for the Needham 300 committee and phonebooks for the Needham Exchange Club, building floats for organizations such as Parent Talk, or coaching and sponsoring Needham sports teams and the Needham Historical Society's Walk Through History, Matt is always available to help out.

I was involved as the Town Crier in the tercentennial celebration because of Matt's encouragement, and it is his drive, quiet volunteerism and commitment to Needham government that demonstrates his love for Needham. I know that Matt will bring this same commitment to the Board of Selectmen. I ask you to vote for him on April 10.
