Obituary: William Joseph Parks

William Joseph Parks, 49, of Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of Needham, passed away Oct. 19, 2013.

He was born in Boston Sept. 3, 1964, to Dr. William and Jane (Conway) Parks. 

William graduated from Catholic Memorial High School in Boston in 1982 and Providence College in Providence, R.I. with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business Administration. He was a certified public accountant with J. Nick Leitch and Co. of Albuquerque, N.M.

A parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, he enjoyed playing the guitar, music, golfing and computers. He devoted most of his time to his home and family and was so very proud to be a very active part of his son's activities, especially football. 

William is survived by his wife, Valerie Parks of Albuquerque, N.M.; his son, Brian J. Parks of Albuquerque, N.M.; his parents, Dr. William J. and Jane Parks of Needham; his siblings, Kathleen Parks of Needham, Philip (Ann) Parks of Abington, Jacqueline (John) Mullowney of West Newton, Stephen (Sarah) Parks of Bellingham, Richard (Kendra) Parks of Bridgewater, Amy (Robert) Mosher of Franklin and Robert (Emily) Parks of Sudbury; his godsons, Joshua Thurn, Matthew Martinez and Phillip Martinez; his father-in-law, David J. Thurn of Albuquerque, N.M.; his mother-in-law, Priscilla Thurn of Bernalillo; his sister-in-law, Jean Thurn of Albuquerque, N.M.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Burial in Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho, N.M.
