Gina C. Haszard, 88, of Needham, passed away Dec. 5, 2013.
Born in Natick, Gina was raised in Needham. She worked as an administrative assistant in the Needham Planning Department for many years until her retirement.
She loved to swim and dance. Gina was a worldwide traveler.
She was the daughter of the late Harry and Georgina (Stewart) Haszard.
Gina leaves her companion John M. Anderson of Needham, formerly of Gloucester; her sister Gertrude Osborne of Palm Harbor, Fla.; and her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great- nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings retired Captain Ashley Haszard, Charlotte Matthews, June Thurston and retired Colonel Sidney Haszard.
A service will be held in Eaton Funeral home 1351 Highland Ave., Needham Wednesday, Dec. 11 at noon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, 4 to 7 p.m. Interment at Needham Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations in Gina's name may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101 First Ave, Suite 6, Waltham MA 02451 or to a charity of your choice.
