Temple Aliyah Members Create 'Thanksgivukkah' Parody

What better way to celebrate "Thanksgivikkuh" than with a parody? That was Gil and Margie Brodsky's thought process, anyway.

The two Needham residents were featured on the Jewish website Jewcy.com for a parody video they posted on YouTube. Together the Temple Aliyah of Needham members wrote and performed an original song about the Thanksgiving and Hanukkah hybrid holiday. They took an existing Hanukkah song melody and gave it new words, all about Thanksgivikkuh. And better yet

"They have often done this sort of thing for other Temple Aliyah events -- they're masters at it," said Temple Aliyah member Karen Feldscher.

Jewcy.com picked up the video in their countdown of Top Five Most Annoying Thanksgivukkah Parodies.

According to the website, Jewcy is a platform for ideas that matter to young Jews today. For more information visit http://www.jewcy.com/.
