Needham Parks and Rec to Hold Town and Trail Cleanup

Needham Parks and Recreation are hosting a fall and trail cleanup Saturday, Oct. 26.

Sign in for the fall cleanup is 8:30 to 9 a.m. with the cleanup ending at 11 a.m. Volunteers will meet outside the Public Services Administration Building, 500 Dedham  Ave., Needham. Participants will then receive their clean up location and trash bags, and can head out to their assigned site.

Trail cleanup participants will meet 9 a.m. in the Ridge Hill parking lot. The trail sign installation will also be completed. The cleanup will end 11 a.m.

“Join other residents in keeping Needham beautiful,” said Needham Parks and Recreation in an announcement. “Spread the word to friends and family. The more people we have helping the more work we can get done.”

All ages are welcome to participate, but children younger than 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Be sure to dress according to the day’s weather and bring work gloves and water. If participating in the trail cleanup, also bring clippers/loppers if available. Both cleanups will take place rain or shine.
