Last Chance: Spring Cleanup

Volunteers are needed to pick up trash and improve trails around Needham on Saturday, April 28.

Sign up this week to participate in a on Saturday, April 28. Volunteers will be working at parks and fields around town and at the Rosemary Lake Trail.

Register online at www.needhamma.gov/parkandrecreation (click Online Registration, then choose Rosemary Lake Trail Day or Town Wide Clean Up Day).

Volunteers participating in the town-wide cleanup should check in between 8:30 and 9:15 a.m. at the parking lot to pick up trash bags and receive a cleanup assignment. Individuals participating in the trail cleanup should check in at the same location at 9:30 a.m. Volunteers will help to clear trails, hang up new trail markers and pick up trash.

Participants should bring work gloves, sun screen, bug spray, a hat and a bottle of water and, for the trail cleanup, clippers or loppers if available. Dress according to the weather conditions. Both of these events will be held rain or shine.

Citizens of all ages are welcome to help.
