Aly Raisman Parade, Rally Set Today

Needham will celebrate hometown Olympian Aly Raisman with a parade and rally today from 2-4 p.m.

The parade will begin at Needham Town Hall and will run along Chapel Street to Highland Avenue, concluding at . The rally will begin after the parade at Memorial Park and will feature music, performances, presentations and light refreshments.

The celebration will honor Needham resident Aly Raisman, who won two gold medals and a bronze medal in the women's gymnastics competitions at the 2012 Olympics in London.

The community is encouraged to join the parade with signs and cheers and to attend the free rally afterward.

Parking is available in the lots (enter from Webster Street) or other public lots in the area. Handicapped-accessible parking is available at Memorial Park.
