Travel Writing 101 - Workshop for active 55+ers

WHAT:         More than any other kind of writing, travel writing can transport us and challenge us with deep questions about ourselves and the world we live in. David Abel, a veteran Boston Globe reporter, will lead a workshop on compelling travel writing for retirees and active 55+ers who want to capture their experience in prose.

Abel will explain how editors think, and how aspiring travel writers should pitch stories for publication. He’ll also explore the differences between writing for yourself and writing for a larger audience.

This course is open to all and is sponsored by North Hill, the active retirement community located on the Needham/Wellesley line.
