Solar Panel Dedication

Come see the blessing and dedication of new solar panels at Christ Church at 11 a.m.  The Bishop Roy "Bud" Cederholm, former Needham resident, will bless the panels (via tree bucket lift) and offer his thoughts on our collective role in reducing carbon emissions.

The 96 panels were installed on the church's south-facing roof in late October, and are expected to "go live" in early December.  They will generate 85% of the church's electrical needs. "Christ Church has chosen to go solar in order to reduce our carbon emissions," says Suzanne Colburn, Interim Priest. "We strongly believe that it is part of our mission to be good shepherds of the environment, and this project is a big part of that."

Christ Church is located at 1132 Highland Avenue, with parking available across the street, next to the Public Library.  For more information, contact the church office at 781-444-1469 or visit www.ccneedham.org.
