Spend your Saturday morning fighting for economic justice! Join Progressive Newton as we gather signatures to put two questions on the ballot - raising the minimum wage and earned sick time for all!
Hosted by Cecelia, the rally will begin at 10:00 in Newton. After an overview of the issues by Rep Kay Khan, we will learn from Progressive Massachusetts staff about the ballot initiative process. We will go over best practices for the petitioning process. We will then break into smaller groups to go out and petition for a few hours in our home communities. We will meet again at 1:00 to hand in the signed petitions, debrief how the petitioning went, and sign up for future petitioning shifts!
