“Music and Memory: How Tunes Can Help Tune Up Brain Fitness” - November 20, 2013, sponsored by North Hill Boston Retirement Community

WHAT:         Did
you know that music can positively impact the brain, improving cognition and
providing brain fitness benefits? Renowned music therapy Professor Kathleen
Howland will explain the link between music and memory at a special event at
North Hill, the leading Boston retirement community.



 



                         The
event takes place during National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month. Howland,
a professor at the Berklee College of Music, will partner with North Hill’s
music therapist and present examples of memories embedded in music.

in brain health, this event highlights cutting edge research and proven ideas.
Howland offers ways for participants to identify their own “musical life
