Solar Workshop and Family Fun

Out of the almost 8,000 homes in Dedham only 900 have a roof perfectly suited for solar energy.  Is your home one of the them?

Join us on Saturday, December 29th to find out!  We'll be hosting an an informational session at the Endicott Library, 257 Mount Vernon Street, at 1pm.

You won't even need a babysitter! We'll have activities and snacks for your children as you use this opportunity to learn how you can save money on your electricity bills by producing clean, renewable solar energy and schedule your free solar assessment.

Find out what's happening in Needhamwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

You'll learn how to:

  • Get solar panels on your roof and start saving for little to no upfront cost

  • Pay only for the electricity your system produces at a rate that is lower than you are currently paying

  • Have the system insured, maintained, and repaired for free throughout its lifetime

The Dedham Sustainability Committee is working with local home energy leader Next Step Living to identify and alert all Dedham homeowners whose roofs are right for solar as part of the Dedham Solar Challenge.  In addition to the free food and drinks, you will receive a $50 gift card to Legacy Place when you receive your no cost, no obligation solar visit.  In addition, for every additional solar system that they install in Dedham during this community program, Next Step Living will contribute $250 to support sustainability initiatives in Dedham.
