FREE COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR

Free adult flu shot available and free screenings for cholesterol, blood pressure, body mass index, carotid artery

On Saturday, November 3 from 10 am to 2 pm, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital will be hosting a free community health fair.  The event will kick off with a one mile fun walk through the Arnold Arboretum, followed by Mayor Thomas Menino doing the honors of cutting the opening ribbon.

Throughout the day Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital will be having free health talks, introductory exercise classes, free food tastings from local vendors, health information, raffles, giveaways and so much more!  Activities for kids will include a visit from New England Patriot’s mascot, Pat Patriot, a teddy bear clinic, pumpkin decorating, face painting, bike helmet fitting and giveaway (limited, first come, first serve), an ambulance and fire truck tour and safety education from the Boston Police Department.

“At Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital one of our top priorities is to help people maintain a healthy lifestyle,” says Tracy Sylven, Director of Community Health and Wellness.  “This free family health fair will give people access to important health screenings and information that could change their lives.”
