Flipped Classrooms and Broken Silos: Education Trends in Needham and Beyond

Educators in Needham and beyond are introducing new, creative ways to make learning more inspiring, accessible and meaningful—a must for students looking to succeed in college and today’s increasingly complex world. The Needham Education Foundation (NEF) explores these trends with Needham Public School Superintendent Dr. Daniel Gutekanst and education experts from Olin College, MIT and business. Join the NEF at 7pm on Nov. 28 in the Newman School auditorium for a panel discussion, Q&A and dessert reception highlighting:

  • Needham Public School initiatives in interdisciplinary learning

  • Rise of online instruction and other creative teaching models

  • Why it’s crucial to break down silos between traditional academic disciplines
