BIDH-Needham Diabetes Day

In an effort to inform and engage the public in learning more about Type 1 diabetes and how to avoid Type 2 diabetes, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham and the Town of Needham Department of Public Health are collaborating on Diabetes Day.

Several physicians including cardiologists, endocrinologists, podiatrists, a pediatrician plus nutritionists from the JoslinDiabetes Center at BID-Needham will be on hand to discuss living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and what you can do to prevent type 2 diabetes beginning in childhood.

There will be free glucose testing, depression screening, informal and formal discussions with physicians, interactive educational games plus a chance to win an iPOD Touch.
