HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY GAME TO BENEFIT TRAVIS ROY FOUNDATION
The St. Sebastian’s Arrows will take-on the Tabor Academy Seawolves in the 17th Annual Travis Roy Cup Varsity Hockey Game on Saturday, February 2, 2013, in the Henry T. Lane Rink at St. Sebastian’s School in Needham. Face-off is at 4:15 p.m.
Tickets for the charity event will be available at the door. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for students with valid ID. Children under twelve are admitted free. The proceeds from this game benefit the Travis Roy Foundation.
The Travis Roy Cup is played every year to honor Travis (a Tabor Academy graduate) and his contributions to prep school hockey, as well as to raise money for the Travis Roy Foundation. The event has been a success both in terms of the support for the Foundation and the level of competition displayed by both teams. To date, the Travis Roy Cup has raised more than $94,000 for the Foundation.
The Travis Roy Foundation was created at the request of Travis and his family. The focus of the Foundation is to assist individuals in the rehabilitation of spinal cord injuries, and to support research and education efforts related to those injuries. Your tax-deductible donation can be made to:
