A Chair to Remember II

Over 40 chairs have been created for the “A Chair to Remember II”, a

project initiated last year by the Needham Merchants Association and

Needham Restaurant Association in partnership with the Needham Business

Association.

All of the chairs will be available to be viewed at James Hugh Powers

Hall at Town Hall starting on Tuesday Sept. 17. The auction will be held
on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013.

Proceeds from the auction will help to support the Needham High School

scholarships for students interested in the arts and business, as well

as town beautification projects.

A Mini-Adirondack Scavenger Hunt will also take place. Featuring 40
mini-Adirondack chairs hidden at local businesses sponsoring a Chair to
Remember.  Each chair will have a location number and letter—find all
the chairs, fill out the chair hunt form, decode the secret message, AND submit your completed form for a prize drawing offered by the Needham Merchants Association.

Also this year is the Bidding for Good Online Auction component—all

chairs not in the Live Auction will be listed on the Bidding for Good

website for sale.  Bidding at the Silent Auction will begin at 6 p.m. at

the highest price received online.  The Silent Auction will end at 7:30

p.m. when the Live Auction begins.
