Snow Expected Tonight, Into The Weekend

Forecast states snow accumulation in Needham will only be about an inch, but the mix of snow and rain could make for slippery driving conditions.

In what could be the first significant snowfall of the season, the National Weather Service is anticipating a bit of wintry weather late Thursday night into early Friday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the majority of Massachusetts, including Needham and Norfolk County.

"Widespread snow showers tonight are expected across Southern New England with snow accumulations of one or two inches likely," according to the NWS alert. "Given the recent cold weather, roads will become snow covered and slippery quickly. Snow showers may mix with rain along the south coast including Cape Cod and The Islands."
