A delegation of firefighters from the arrived in New York City on Sept. 12, 2001, a day after the attacks on the World Trade Center, helping in whatever ways they could. Years later, a Needham firefighter continues to give talks to local students every year about the experience and what motivated him and his colleagues to go to New York.
A group of Needham firefighters has returned to New York every year to commemorate that day and will be there this weekend for the 10th anniversary.
“We’re never going to let it go," he said. "We will never forget."
