Needham Farmers Market Debuts Chef in House Program

On the second week of the Farmers Market, a local chef will be in the house.

 

The Needham Farmers Market is back for a second year, and this time they're bringing the chefs. 

New for this year is the Chef in the House program, which starts today. Each week, the Farmers Market will bring a local chef to join market shoppers on short tours for about an hour. The schedule so far:

  • June 9 - Dave Becker owner of Sweet Basil
  • June 16 - Gabriel Luz owner of The Farmhouse
  • June 23 - Michael Ehlenfeldt, GM, Executive Chef Stone Hearth Pizza
  • July 7 - Bertucci’s Marc Costa, Cullinary Manager

According to the website, there are more to come.

The Needham Farmers Market opens Sundays, from 1-5 p.m. on the front lawn of First Parish in Needham, according to an announcement Farmers Market spokesperson organizers.

Who else can you expect to see opening this year's market? First week vendors include the MacArthur Farm, The Neighborhood Farm, Big Sky Bakery, Globe Fish, Lilac Hedge, Foxboro Cheese, Nella Pasta and Two Brothers Cookies.
