Five Things You Need to Know Today: Nov. 28

Youth Hockey Association will hold an informational meeting; NHS Athletic Boosters are selling Christmas trees at Claxton Field.

1. Mostly sunny: It will be mostly sunny today with a high around 62 degrees and a low around 45, according to the National Weather Service. There will be a light wind with gusts between 9 and 13 miles per hour and as high as 28 mph.

2. Youth hockey info: The Needham Youth Hockey Association will hold an open meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the  informal session for families to come learn more about the organization. The NYHA offers programs for all levels, boys and girls. For information, visit www.nyha.org.

3. Speak up: The Boston West Toastmasters Club meets on the second and fourth Monday of every month from 7:30-9:00 p.m. at in Needham. This local chapter of Toastmasters International is a nonprofit organization that helps its members develop their public speaking skills. Learn more at their Web site.

4. Bridge games: Looking to play some bridge? hosts several bridge on Monday nights starting at 7:15 p.m. Cost is $6 per session. For more information, call 781-444-8522.

5. Deck the halls: With Thanksgiving past, there are just four weeks until Christmas (and just under a month until the first night of Hanukkah). The Needham Athletic Booster Club is now through Dec. 22, or until supplies last. Trees, wreaths and garland will be sold at , across from the on Central Avenue.
