Thrift shop open: The Needham Community Council Thrift Shop is open Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Stop by to find deals on men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, small household items and more. And mark your calendar for the council’s Annual Holiday Boutique on Nov. 16, where hundreds of holiday items will be on sale.

5. Still have Halloween candy? Today is the last day to bring your candy to Chestnut Dental in Needham to be distributed through Operation: American Soldier.
