2. Special Town Meeting: Needham’s will begin tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Powers Hall on the second floor of . The special meeting will address unfinished business from the current fiscal year, FY2012. The warrant features 12 articles, including a proposed $1.175 million land purchase for 58 Lincoln Street and 89 School Street, for possible future expansion of the police and fire stations. If all the business is completed early enough tonight, Town Meeting members will pick up with the 2012 Annual Town Meeting.

3. SEPAC meeting: The Needham Special Education Parent Advisory Council will meet tonight at . Drop by for socializing and refreshments at 7 p.m., with business to begin at 7:30 p.m. Tonight’s topic is “Teen Years: Is it Adolescence or is it AS?” Needham SEPAC is open to any resident of Needham or parent of a student in the Needham schools who is interested in the special education of Needham students. Safety first: The , working with the State Police and other Massachusetts agencies, will be on the lookout for drivers not wearing their seatbelts during a “Click It or Ticket” campaign that starts today and runs through June 3. The campaign is designed to raise awareness of the importance of seatbelt use, with the ultimate goal of saving lives, . According to Massachusetts law, all drivers and passengers age 12 and over must wear seatbelts while riding in a motor vehicle, with a few exceptions. Younger children should be placed in the appropriate child safety seat. Adults (age 16 and over) found not to be wearing their seatbelts can be fined $25 each, plus $25 for each passenger between the ages of 12 and 15 who is not properly restrained.
