3. Wellesley Books' Lorna Ruby is making a visit to Waterstone at Wellesley this afternoon, about 2:30 p.m., for anyone who would like to talk about some of the current bestsellers. It's free and open to any avid readers, but Waterstone asks that you RSVP by calling 781-235-1614. 

4. For those who enjoy local flavors, the Newton Needham Chamber of Commerce is hosting their annual Spring Seasonings: A taste of Newton-Needham event at the Marriott Hotel Boston in Newton. For $25, you can sample 40 different restaurants' offerings, starting at 5:30 p.m.

5. If you are going through a divorce, and have a moment to wonder what it will do to your taxes, there is a Divorce and Taxes public education seminar by The Divorce Center tonight. That starts at the Free Public Library, at 7 p.m.
