You Voted: Best Mother's Day Brunch Spot

The votes are in, and Blue on Highland has won its third Best Of Needham - Readers' Choice award. (The restaurant previously won for and .) This week, Blue took the top votes in our callout for the best place to take Mom for Mother's Day brunch.

, located at 882 Highland Ave., collected 74 percent of the votes in , easily winning the title over other local contenders. Also earning nods in the poll were , with 14 percent of the votes, and , with 11 percent.

Blue on Highland is open on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with special jazz brunches offered most Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Coming up on Mother's Day—Sunday, May 13—the restaurant is partnering with Jaie3 salon in Medfield to provide moms with a special gift bag filled with samples and exclusive salon and spa specials. The bags will be available for moms who dine at Blue on Mother's Day, while supplies last.

And, of course, there will be delicious brunch, lunch and dinner specials. Here is a sampling of what Blue has on the menu throughout the day on May 13:

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., guests can stop in for lunch and indulge in brunch classics such as french toast with blueberry butter and maple syrup ($10) and sirloin and eggs with brioche bread, mushroom truffle-butter and home fries ($14) while listening to live jazz.

Guests looking for midday fare can try Blue on Highland’s margherita pizza with fresh tomato, basil and mozzarella ($9) or lobster bisque served with paprika oil and fresh cut scallions ($7) from Executive Chef Peter Tartsinis.

If Mom is sleeping in, treat her to an elegant dinner at Blue on Highland, served from 3-9 p.m., with selections like grilled salmon with jasmine rice, asparagus and saffron aioli ($22) and chocolate bread pudding with ice cream ($8).
