Saturday in Needham, the weather was nice, the center was bustling, and the parking was free.
Needham Patch and Plymouth Rock Assurance co-sponsored the free parking day around Needham Center, along Great Plain Avenue, Highland Avenue and Chestnut Street. Patch staffers and representatives of Plymouth Rock Assurance of Needham moved up and down the street handing out swag from both companies.
As shoppers, martial arts students and families wandered through Needham Center, they got to know Patch and some of our staff. A few people driving past even rolled down their windows to ask about Patch and thank us for the free parking.
Patch and Plymouth Rock teamed up earlier in the year to bring free parking to downtown Wellesley as well.
