Randolph Man Injured in Monday's I95 Crash in Needham

Cause of rollover being investigated. Injured 24-year-old taken from scene by Medflight.

At about 3 p.m. Monday, Mass State Police responded to a rollover crash on I-95 near exit 19 in Needham, on the southbound side.

First responders met a 24-year-old Randolph man who was driving a 2003 GMC envoy involved in the single-car crash, according to a State Police press release. Medflight took the victim to Massachusetts General Hospital with serious injuries.

Police closed all Northbound and Southbound lanes at about 3:15 p.m., to allow the Medflight copter to land, which took about 20 minutes. The right and breakdown lanes were closed until about 5:15 p.m. Mass State Police opened the road after crash reconstruction was complete. As the crash happened during rush hour, it caused significant delays in traffic.

State police say no citations have been issued, and the cause of the crash is still being investigated.
