Needham Restaurants Open On The Holidays

Here are some places to dine on the holidays for those who don't have the time or want to put together that giant holiday feast themselves.

With the holiday season upon us, Needham Patch set out to see which of Needham’s many local restaurants are planning to be open on the different holidays, as well as if any of them are planning on doing anything special to celebrate.

Petit Robert Bistro, located at 45 Chapel St., will be open their usual hours on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 24) and Christmas Day (Dec. 25). While the bistro will be serving its full regular menu, owner Jay Spencer said they will be featuring a couple of Thanksgiving specials, including a roasted turkey dinner that comes with mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, chestnuts and carrots for $27. Spencer also said that they will offer Beaujolais-Villages Noveau, a wine that goes very well with turkey. He recommends that people make reservations.

The New Garden Restaurant, located at 250 Chestnut St., will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but it will be open on Christmas. Specializing in Northern Chinese cuisine, New Garden's busiest nights of the year are Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, the staff reports. They will be open until 1:00 a.m. on New Year’s Eve.

Mandarin Cuisine, located at 238 Highland Ave., will also be open their usual hours on Christmas, although they will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. This gives Needham residents more than one choice on Christmas for those who enjoy Chinese food.

Spiga Ristorante, located at 18 Highland Circle, will be open on New Year’s Eve. It’s worth noting that they are currently in the process of making some changes to their menu for the winter season. Those changes should be reflected on their Web site soon.
