Memorable Chairs On Needham's Streets

Artists bring chairs to life for Needham Merchants Association's Chair to Remember II.

The second Chair to Remember is in full swing--or rock, depending on your preferred chair type.

New for this year's Chair to Remember are rocking and kid's chairs, joining the artistically-decorated Adirondack chairs outside of Needham businesses. Patch hit the streets and snapped a few photos of the chairs in and around town.

Also new for this year, the Find a Mini-Adirondack Chair scavenger hunt. Each of the 40 businesses around town sponsoring an adirondack chair have a miniature chair hidden somewhere on their premises. Finding the chairs will help you decode a secret message, which will enter you in a prize drawing.

Chairs will be auctioned off at a show on Sept. 21. Tickets for the auction are available the following locations: Taylor’s Stationery, Perennial Designs, Closet Exchange, Black Sheep, The Grey Goose, and The Center Café.

Last year, The Needham Merchants Association set out "A Chair to Remember." They auctioned the chairs at the end of the art show to raise funds were used for scholarships and town beautification.

If we missed your chair, shoot a photo and email it, a caption, and a photo credit to Grahame.Turner@Patch.com. I will add it to the gallery above.
