Stella and Luna are a pair of adorable female chinchillas. They were brought to the shelter after their owner passed away and nobody in the family could take care of them. They have lived together for their entire lives and are bonded to each other, so they will need to find a home together.
They are both 10 years old and have a life expectancy of 15-20 years. They are sweet girls but were not well socialized in their previous home and as a result they do not like to be handled. However, a patient owner would be able to work with Stella and Luna to get them to feel safe and comfortable being handled by people.
Their favorite things to do are run on their wheel, nibble on hay, and roll around in their dust bath.
Stella and Luna have been checked out by the shelter vet and both have been given a clean bill of health. Their combined adoption fee is $150, and any interested adopters will need to provide a picture of a cage all set up for Stella and Luna before they could go home.
