Pet of the Week: Desmond

Desmond is a super friendly, very handsome orange tabby cat who loves being around people. He is sweet, gentle, mellow and social. He can be a little playful, but his favorite pastime is sitting in a lap.

He is very happy being a strictly indoor cat. He tolerates the other cats in his foster home but seems to prefer human companionship over felines.

We estimate Desmond is about 2 years old. This very nice super affectionate cat is eager for a family to call his own. Desmond is one of the many unaltered stray cats rescued by NVHS volunteers. He was smart enough to make his way to the home of one of our volunteers and it was obvious he needed help.

Spay/neuter clinic: The next NVHS low cost spay/neuter clinic for cats is Tuesday, Aug. 28 in Norwood. Financial assistance is available for any cat owner for whom these reduced prices would truly be a financial hardship. Neighborhood and feral cats are free. Call for information and appointment.
