Real Estate Update: Newton on Fire, Under Agreements Soar in all Three Towns

Needham, Newton, Wellesley real estate update: under agreement listings soar in all three towns. Newton is on fire with lots of real estate activity this week.

Do you have fun plans for the Superbowl?  What is your favorite football food?  Comment on this post if you have a good recipe for Super Sunday.

The buyers in all three towns were out in force this week.  Speaking of Super Sunday though, the sellers in Needham and Wellesley must have decided that they didn’t want to bring their homes on the market the week of the Superbowl because the number of new listings was low as compared to the rest of the activity this week.

Newton had huge numbers of new listings (24 – highest since Oct 7th) and under agreement listings (27 – third highest since June 24th) this week.

Needham had 16 homes and condos go under agreement which is the most since the week of July 1st.  Of the 16 homes/condos, 5 of them had been on the market for 300+ days.  The buyers are hungry so when the sellers show up with new listings, the market is going to go crazy.  Here are the numbers by town:

Needham => 5 new home / condo listings, 16 under agreement, 121 on the market
