Hey Kids – Come see the show and Join the fun on stage!
Needham Freelance Troupe presents “Mything Links” New Auditions for Spring Season! Story Theater Classes

“The play’s the thing….” Drama for kids is front and center in Needham this month! Bring the whole family to an upbeat new musical starring local actors ages 8 to 12: The Monday Needham Freelance Troupe. The Troupe will be presenting “Mything Links on Friday January 25th, Congregational Church, 1154 Great Plain Ave, Needham at 5:30pm.

This witty original musical features Odysseus and his jolly band of warriors trying to find their way back home. Unfortunately, “The Fates” have other plans for them. While his wife Penelope waits - not so patiently - at home, our hero bounces around the Aegean in adventures that Homer would never recognize.

Sisyphus and his band “The Rolling Rocks” entertain the wandering crew. Atlas croons "World on My Shoulders Blues," the Cyclops warns all to "Stay Outta My Face" and much more. The musical is a playful, funny and entertaining - a great family show!

And you can sign up to join the Troupe! The Monday Needham Freelance Troupe is now enrolling for its spring season. Everyone is encouraged to join! The Troupe meets on Mondays and is for children ages 8-12 with little or no acting experience. The Troupe produces an original musical each season, which starts with auditions for new members on Monday, February 4, 2013. Physical and vocal techniques, drama improvisation, dance, auditioning, and singing are part of the rehearsal process. Theater professionals staff the company.

Story Theater Classes are being offered for children ages 6 to 8, staring on February 4th and run for 8 weeks. Classes give children an opportunity to experiment with different theter games and improvisation techniques. Students will demonstrate their skills in a mini-production at the end of the session.
