Needham Art Association Meeting

The Needham Art Association will be meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3 at the Needham Library. Artist Susan Kelly will be there to give an oil painting demonstration.

Susan works from observation. She paints landscapes, figures and portraits in oil, pastel and charcoal. Her work has been exhibited in many solo and group shows and has received awards from the Rockport, North Shore, Duxbury, and Cape Cod Art Associations. She has also been chosen to jury several shows. She teaches outdoor landscape, stillife and portrait classes both privately and through Newton JCC and the Walpole and Westwood Adult Education Recreation Departments.  

Susan attended Framingham State College for Art Education and studied art with Robert Cormier, Kevin Macpherson, Joanne Regan and Pietro Annigoni. Some of her artwork can be seen on the website.

The meeting and art demo will take place in the Community Room in the Needham Public Library at 1139 Highland Avenue. It is wheelchair accessible. The event is free and the public is invited to attend. The Needham Art Association enriches Needham by exhibiting over 500 paintings in town locations every year. It welcomes new members.
