'A Chair to Remember' Chair Exhibit and Auction

This time is upon us; all those beautifully painted Adirondack chairs are on the auction block for charity.

“A Chair to Remember”, a project initiated by the Needham Merchants Association and Needham Restaurant Association in partnership with the Needham Business Association (“NBA”), is the collaborative effort of the business owners who purchased the chairs and the artists who designed and painted them. The response to the call for merchants and artists has been overwhelming, with over 50 chairs having been created. All of the chairs will be on exhibit at James Hugh Powers Hall at Town Hall starting on Tuesday, Sept. 25 through Friday, Sept. 28 during regular business hours.

The chairs will be auctioned off on Saturday, Sept. 29. The proceeds from this wonderful event will support Needham High School scholarships for students interested in the arts and business, as well as town beautification projects. A silent auction will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. and the live auction will begin at 7:30 p.m.
