Late October storm drops snow, ice on Needham.

A few days before Needham's little ghosts and goblins hit the street for some Trick-or-Treating, the town saw a truly scary sight—several inches of snowfall in October. The early winter storm that arrived late Saturday, Oct. 29 brought heavy rain, ice and snow as well as strong winds that caused trees and wires to come down around town and resulted in without power as of Sunday morning.

Despite the unpleasantness of late-October snow, a few Needham residents could be seen outside early Sunday enjoying the fruits of the storm—trying out their snowboards on the hill behind .
