Scenes from the Needham Harvest Fair 2013

Saturday saw the town common packed for Needham's Annual Harvest Fair

The lawn outside of Town Hall was hopping as local vendors, businesses, and organizations came together and met residents of the town. The Greene-O'Leary Irish Dancers performed on the steps of Town Hall, while visitors were treated to a horse-drawn cart ride through town. While riders waited, they had a chance to peruse the pop-up pumpkin patch.

The fair also kicked off a new drive to benefit the Needham Goes Pink fund, and Needham Economic Development Director Devra Bailin was there, manning the Needham Goes Pink tent. The initiative is raises money for the recently established fund at Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center -Needham for breast cancer patients. A new cancer center at BIDMC-Needham celebrated its topping off last week.

Next to Town Hall, a selection of adirondack chairs from the Chair to Remember auction, which were available for purchase

Tails were wagging as Selectman John Bulian was spotted helping out at the Needham Dog Park tent, and telling residents about the family dog show, scheduled for Sunday afternoon

Patch's cameras and reporters captured just a few moments of the fair, with more pictures to come. If you have photos you want to add to our gallery, email editor Grahame Turner at Grahame.turner@patch.com
