Needham Named in List of 'Top Communities in Massachusetts'
Needham was among the top 40 in GoLocal's third annual list.
GoLocalWorcester this week announced its third annual Best Communities in Massachusetts List. The list, said GoLocal, was devised by mixing stats of affordability, economic condition, education, arts and culture, and safety.
Boston came in first in this year's list.
Needham came in at number 37 on the list. "The development of highway systems allowed the town to turn to industry, and create its first industrial park in 1950," said GoLocalWorcester. "Today, Needham is primarily a residential community, with easy access into Boston."

Needham, with a population of 28,886, has a median household income of $121,080, according to GoLocalWorcester statistics.
