Exchange Club Raises Golf Clubs, Charity Money

The Charles River Center was presented with a check following the Exchange Club's 2012 Charity Golf Tournament.

 

A local mental health service is getting $12,000 from some folks playing a round of golf. 

The 2012 , raised $12,000 for the Charles River Center. In a press release before last year's tournament, the Exchange Club described the Charles River Center thus:

Today the Charles River Center provides housing, employment, therapeutic and recreational programs to hundreds of children and adults with significant disabilities in Needham, Wellesley, Newton, Natick and many other area communities. 

Exchange Club Charity Golf Chairperson Gerry McTernan presented the check to the president of the Charles River Club, John Grugan at the Feb. 7 meeting.

Every year the Needham Exchange Club organizes a Charity Golf Tournament to benefit local causes and charitable activities. For the past few years, the major beneficiary of the tournament has been the Charles River Center with which the Exchange Club has long had a supporting role.

During the February 7th Exchange Club Meeting, 2012 Charity Golf Chair Gerry McTernan presented a $12,000 Tournament proceeds check to CRC President John Grugan.

The Charles River Center is one of the many community activities, charities and causes that the Needham Exchange Club supports with donations and its memberships’ active participation.
