Some lucky fan will win $10,000 if they can just make a shot from half-court in the Needham High School gymnasium.

The “Roche Brothers Half-Court shot at $10,000” is a fund-raiser for Needham High School Basketball run by Friends of Needham Basketball. One randomly chosen raffle ticket owner will attempt the shot on Friday, Jan. 10 at halftime of the boys Varsity game against Weymouth.

Players at the Varsity, JV and Freshmen level are currently selling $10 raffle tickets for the chance to shoot the shot.

If the shot is not made on Jan. 10 a second fan will be randomly chosen on Feb. 3 and given the chance to make the shot at halftime of the Feb. 4 home game against Framingham.

The fund-raiser is also sponsored by “Designs by Fabienne” and Needham Metrowest Basketball.

Raffle tickets are available at the concession stand at all home boys Varsity games, and will be on sale in the parking lot of Roche Brothers on Sat. Jan. 18. For more information on purchasing raffle tickets email gcharter542@gmail.com.
