Dedham American Legion Band, Post 18 performs in Needham's 4th of July Parade!!!

The Dedham American Legion Band, Post 18 performed at The 4th of July Parade in Needham on Thursday July 4, 2013.  It was the eighth performance of this young band. The band's trailer was provided by Parkway Towing in Hyde Park.

 

The Dedham American Legion Band, Post 18 is a volunteer band founded in 2012 by David Zablatsky, Jeanette Berger and Dick Goguen.  The band’s mission is to promote patriotism, the US military and Veterans’ organizations.  This goal is achieved through serving the local communities by providing live music for various venues while providing opportunity for personnel and musical growth of its members.  The membership consists of men and women who enjoy music.

The Band is seeking musicians, color guard and support members, middle school age and above.  Openings exist in all sections.  No auditions.  Uniforms, music, percussion, sousaphones provided.  Other instruments can be provided as well.
