4. Event highlight
Sixth graders can start the New Year off at Needham Youth Center's White Out Dance and Sports Night. Students are asked to wear a lot of white so they'll glow in the dark under the black lights. Facepaint and a glow stick will be provided to enhance the fun effect. All 6th graders living in or attending school in Needham are invited. The event will be held at Pollard Middle School 7:30 to 10 p.m. Admission is $8. Snacks can be purchased for an additional $1-$2. Additional glow sticks may be purchased for $.50 each. Drop off and pick up is behind Pollard Middle School, off Bradford Street, by the gyms/cafeteria. Students may only enter and leave from this exit, and may only leave if an adult walks up to get them or they get into a car. Please be prepared to wait in a car line so students may leave in a safe and orderly fashion. For more information, visit www.needhamma.gov/youthcenter.
