Today in Needham: Northerly Experiences, Rushing to the Office and More!

Five things you need to know for September 10, 2013 in Dover, Sherborn and Needham.

1. There is a slight chance of some showers, the National Weather Service says we may have a 20 percent chance of rain during the day. Otherwise, it'll be mostly cloudy all day and night, and you could see some fog patches after 9 p.m. Temperatures between 81ºF and 68ºF.

2. Have events you want us to know about? Perhaps you'd like them to wind up on this Today in list? It's simple to get them there: post them to the events calendar. When we make these posts, we start with our own events calendar

3. Have a few thoughts you want to share with your state senator? Good news, he's coming to Needham to chat with you (or whoever is there) today. Senator Mike Rush is holding office hours at the town hall, starting at 9 a.m.

4. Arts and hors d'ouvres, wine and watercolors, and more are part of the True North experience this week. At 4 p.m. at North Hill's 865 Central Avenue location, they are bringing four artists together to questions about their work: David Wells Roth, Richard Riaselis, George Nick and Sean Flood. Register online at www.NorthHill.org/experience, by email (RSVP@NorthHill.org) or by phone (781-433-6400).

5. Dover Town Library is hosting the Dover Democratic Committee tonight. Their meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. and is expected to run to 9 p.m. For more information, contact Janet Lilienthal at 508-785-2247.
