Today in Needham: Coffee Hour, Road to Recovery and More!

Five things you need to know today for August 27 in Needham, Dover and Sherborn.


1. The could be some rain--about a 50 percent chance of the wet stuff coming down, so says the National Weather Service. Clearing up in the evening to bring you a partly cloudy night with some possibly patches of fog after midnight. Temperatures expected to range between 82ºF and 64ºF. 

2. As the school year starts up, so too school sports. Check out our new School Sports blog, and stop by to post, or read, the latest updates from your teams. For more information, see our introductory post

3. 10 a.m. is Coffee Hour at the Sherborn Library, hosted by Newly Merged Sherborn Social Club & Friends of the Sherborn Library. This is a way to welcome new neighbors to town, runs until 11:30 a.m. 

4. American Cancer Society is coming to Speen Street in Framingham Volunteer Information Sessions on their Road to Recovery program. Volunteers will wind up helping patients get to and from their various appointments. 5. Covidien Wellness Walk Returns to TPC Boston for Second Annual Deutsche Bank Championship Fundraiser, proceeds from the Walk will once again benefit Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston. The walk starts up at 5:30 p.m.
